i started this as a continuation of an ongoing project dealing with suicide (i used to run a radio show using the same moniker)… i’ve been close to suicide myself, i think many people have… i’ve had a few friends give up (actually 13 years ago yesterday was an anniversary for one of them), and know many more who have tried. this to me is a manner of purging. these thoughts and fixations are nearly ever present… standing on a train platform or a bridge… being reminded of the wrong person, having issues with the right one… for me this is an outlet… and i’d like to offer it up as the same for others… suicidal thoughts and feelings don’t just go away if you ignore them, you have to confront them, work through them and move on.

I just wanted to post this because I’ve seen it several times and I think it’s beautiful. The tattoo is a suicide note composed of only a few sentences. The entire tattoo reads: “Car to Helen or Ray. Needs a tune up. Money to Max and Sylvia. Furniture to George plus the $137 I owe him.”
